Mark Hawes is a young man who is paralyzed from the chest down as a result of a sliding accident during baseball practice. Mark recently graduated from Waukon High School and is working hard to get himself in a position to follow his dream of attending Iowa State University in the fall, where he wants to major in Ag. Engineering.
There will be a benefit for Mark on Sunday, August 7th, 2011, to help his family to purchase the necessary equipment for him to follow his dreams at Iowa State.
I have pledged to donate $1.00 for every purchase of my book in the Kindle version between now and August 7. The cost of the Kindle version of my book is just $2.99. You don't have to have a Kindle to purchase the book, it can be downloaded and read on a PC, Mac, IPad, IPhone, Blackberry, etc. using the Kindle app. Please click here to buy my book and help Mark Hawes.
Mark is battling courageously and has a faithful spirit, and I am sure he will be very successful in his rehab work at Mayo Clinic which hopefully leads to a successful new beginning at Iowa State University.

Thank you for your support.
Sincerely,
Kent Stock

One of the reasons that I jumped at the opportunity to portray Kent Stock on screen, is that I admire his leadership style. Once again, he is taking initiative and spearheading an effort to help Mark Hawes. Kent and I both love baseball which we know is an inherently dangerous game. The kind of life altering injury that Mark has suffered is incredibly rare in our sport. Kent and I would love for fans of ours to help us help Mark turn the corner on this challenge in his life as he transitions into his all important College Years.
Thank you and Many Blessings Always,
Sean
