In Vietnam, a young US soldier (Preston Scott Lee) is ordered by his  commander (Brion James) to join a dangerous mission to destroy an enemy radio installation.  After being wounded in a deadly ambush, he encounters a young Viet Cong soldier (Tom Edward Tran) who is also in dire straits.  They are forced to consider each other's humanity as they fight for survival.
